Yes. When you book through CareNiva Express, your appointment is instantly confirmed — no waiting for a callback, no “someone will reach out to you later”. You’ll receive an email confirmation and a direct link to join your telehealth visit at the scheduled time.
Can I always start with a free consult?
Free Consult is offered by select providers in specific areas — not every provider offers it. Look for the “Free Consult” option on a provider’s profile before booking. If it’s listed, you’ll see the duration and any conditions; if it isn’t shown, that provider doesn’t offer a free consult.
How do I know which visit type to pick?
Free Consult — quick questions, exploring options, or wellness check-ins (offered by participating providers only).
Express Visit — common concerns like UTI, cold, flu, rashes, prescription renewals (offered by providers enrolled in the Express Visit program).
Extended Visit — complex concerns, new-patient visits, medication adjustments, chronic conditions.

Each provider’s profile shows the specific visit types they offer. If a visit type isn’t listed for a provider, they don’t offer that option.
Does every provider offer Express Visits?
No. Express Visits are a special program providers opt into. Only providers who have enrolled in the Express Visit program offer it, and it’ll be clearly marked on their profile. If you need a quick 10-minute visit and don’t see Express listed, try filtering search results by “Express Visit” to find enrolled providers.
What if I need a prescription?
Providers can prescribe where clinically appropriate and within state regulations. Prescriptions are sent electronically to your preferred pharmacy. Controlled substances and some medications may require an in-person visit.
Which states do you operate in?
CareNiva Express currently has providers licensed in CA, DC, FL, IL, MD, MO, NY, TX, and VA. We’re expanding state by state — if you don’t see your state, check back soon.
Do you take insurance?
CareNiva Express is a cash-pay (self-pay) platform. Many providers will offer a superbill on request so you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement — ask your provider directly during or after your visit.
What’s the refund, rescheduling, or cancellation policy?
CareNiva Express is a platform that connects patients to independent, licensed providers. We don’t make decisions on refunds, cancellations, or rescheduling — each provider sets and manages their own policies. For refund requests, rescheduling, or billing questions about a specific visit, please contact the provider directly (their contact info is in your booking confirmation). If you need help reaching a provider, email support@careniva.com and we can help facilitate.
Is CareNiva Express my healthcare provider?
No. CareNiva Express is a directory and scheduling platform — we connect you with independent licensed healthcare providers who deliver your care. The provider you book with is responsible for your treatment, prescribing decisions, and the clinical relationship. CareNiva Express facilitates discovery, booking, and the telehealth platform used for the visit.
What technology do I need?
Just a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection. No app download required for most visits — you’ll join via a secure browser link.
Is my health information secure?
Yes. CareNiva is built with HIPAA-aware infrastructure. All telehealth visits, documents, messaging, and payments are encrypted end-to-end. Payments are processed via Stripe — we never store your card details on our servers.
What if my provider can’t treat my condition?
If your provider determines that your condition requires in-person evaluation or a specialist, they’ll refer you to appropriate care. Billing and any charge-related questions for that visit are handled by the provider — contact them directly if you have questions about what was charged.
